 台湾 VIA 製 Mini-ITX マザーボードは何種類か使用したことはありますが、他社製 Mini-ITX 製品は この Freetech 製 P6F215 が初めてでした。VIA の Mini-ITXマザーボードは、コストパフォーマンスを重視したためか、一般の Micro-ATX にくらべて機能が制限されているように感じました。しかし、 Freetech 製 P6F215 ではほとんど Micro-ATXマザーボードと同等に利用できるので自由度という点でメリットがあります。特に CPU が交換可能なために、パワーアップが可能になって便利でした。
 そのほか、VIA 製 Mini-ITX マザーボードでは CPU が直接ハンダ付けされていて、さらにヒートシンクが特殊な形状なために交換が不可能で不便を感じていました。
